Snapback Hats

Snapback hats were first seen in the 90s and were worn by mostly everyone.  Recently, fitted baseball caps took over and were worn strictly for fashion.  Snapback hats are baseball caps with a plastic size adjuster in the back.  These hats have a more vintage look than that of the new fitted caps.  Rappers Tyga, Wiz Khalifa and singer Chris Brown are all big fans of the snapback hat.

Fashion at its Flyest! (Style Comparison)

Dantwan Gatling, a self-proclaimed "Fashion Guy" knows alot about Hip Hop Fashion. In fact, fashion is his life! Dantwan is all about name brands like Gucci, Louis Vuitton and Prada. He even adds his own twist to his outfits. Here Dantwan is wearing Louis Vuitton almost head to toe. His style can be compared to rapper and fashion icon Kanye West. Dantwan says that he does alot of online shopping because he hates going out and seeing someone with the same outfit as him. You also can catch him at Macarthur Mall every other day of the week...lol!

Blog Intro

I decided to write a blog about hip hop fashion because I just love hip hop in general.  I wanted to do it on just hip hop but my professor decided that it was too broad...hmmm...I'll do another one outside of class I guess...

Hip Hop has influenced all of us...especially what we wear...so that is what I will display on my blog.
